The Technical Judges

The panel of Technical Judges – made up of musicians and experts – will choose nine young talents (solo artists or groups) from all those taking part to join the shortlist of ten finalists. The last band will be chosen by the public.

The Public Judges

A public voting process that is open to everyone will begin on 16 May 2019, once the registration period for entrants is over. To vote, register on this website and vote for your favourite band from all those taking part in the competition. The band with the most votes will join the shortlist of ten finalists and win a voucher worth €500 to spend at a professional recording studio on an album recording. Each member of the general public can vote a maximum of ten times throughout the duration of the event.

The Artistic Judges

The panel of Artistic Judges will be chaired by Paolo Fresu and made up of musicians and experts. It will assess the ten finalists during their live performances at Umbria Jazz and select the overall winner.
