The Public Judges

The public voting process was open to everyone. It began after the deadline for applications and took place from 15 May 2018 to 12 June 2018. The band that won the most votes joined the shortlist of ten finalists and won a 500 Euros voucher to spend before the end of 2018 on an album recording at a professional studio (chosen by the band themselves).

The Artistic Judges

The Artistic Jury was chaired by Renzo Arbore and made up of musicians and experts. After the ten finalists had been chosen, they ranked them (with the results being used to establish the Umbria Jazz performance calendar) and picked the overall winner of the Conad Jazz Contest.
