The Artistic Jury, chaired by Stefano Bragatto , Director of Radio Monte Carlo, had the opportunity to attend the exciting live performances of the young musicians, who took turns on the “Conad Stage” of the Carducci Gardens during the 10th, 11th and July 12th. An audience of enthusiasts followed the live shows of the finalists who took turns during the three days with participation.

The Kaleidoscope Quartet has been working together for over a year in pursuit of a cohesive yet dynamic group sound.
The fusion of cultural and musical influences of the four talented artists defines the identity of the Kaleidoscope Quartet, creating a harmonious whole in which each instrument has its own role and importance and this strong creative identity therefore allowed the four musicians to win the prize of 5,000 euros as a contribution to their career and will have the opportunity to perform on the most prestigious jazz stages in Italy for the rest of 2023. This incredible series of concerts includes a performance at Jazz Italiano for L’Aquila (02-03 September 2023 ), UJ Weekend in Terni (14-17 September 2023), and the one at Umbria Jazz Winter #30 in Orvieto (28 December 2023 – 1 January 2024).
In addition to the first prize, another recognition was awarded to saxophonist Matteo Diego Scarcella, who obtained the prize as most promising musician, and was therefore awarded participation in the Berklee Summer School at Umbria Jazz Clinics 2024, prize awarded last year to Lorenzo Vitolo.
This support for Umbria Jazz and young talents is part of Conad’s sustainability strategy, called “Let’s support the future”, which is based on three fundamental pillars: environment and resources, people and communities, businesses and territory.
