In compliance with personal data protection legislation (hereinafter the “Data Protection Legislation”), with particular reference to Art. 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003, Personal data protection Code and Art. 13 of European Regulation no. 679/2016, with this document Conad, the National Consortium of Retailers Cooperative Society, with offices in Bologna Via Michelino 59 (hereinafter "Conad”), as data controller, intends to inform Users (hereinafter “Users”) who, via the website (hereinafter “Website”), register in the contest named Conad Jazz Contest (the “Contest”), with regard to the methods and purposes of the processing of personal data provided during registration.

Any policy updates will be readily available in the relevant section of the Website.


1. Source of personal data

1.1. The personal data will be collected directly from the User.

2. Nature of the provision of personal data

2.1. The provision of personal data by the User is voluntary.

2.2. Failure to provide such personal data will prevent the User from participating in the Contest and from receiving service announcements regarding the same.

3. Legal basis, purpose of the collection and processing of personal data

3.1. The legal basis of the processing is the provision of services connected with the Conad Jazz Contest 2018.

3.2. The personal data provided by the User will be collected and processed for the purposes directly related to the correct distribution of services offered through the Online channels and therefore, in particular, to allow the registration and subsequent participation of the User in the Contest.

3.3. In particular, the personal data provided by the User will be collected and processed for the following purposes:

  1. a) management of the registration on the website "”;

  2. b) participation in the Conad Jazz Contest 2018;
  3. c) management of voting on the website; 

  4. d) sending of service announcements linked to the performance of the Conad Jazz Contest 2018;
  5. e) interaction with external social networks and platforms: Share button and Facebook and Twitter social widgets;
  6. f) statistics through Google Analytics.

3.4. The personal data may be transferred for the purposes referred to in point 3.2 to the USA. For that purpose, CONAD will adopt all the guarantees required by the Applicable Legislation in order to safeguard the User’s data, e.g. through the stipulation of the Standard Contract Clauses (SCCs).

3.5. The activities specified in the previous letters a), b), c) and d) may also be performed by e-mail, telephone and SMS (Short Message Service), upon agreement with telephone operators operating on the Italian territory.

3.6. The types of personal data used for the purposes in the previous letters e) and f), subject to the User's consent, are indicated in the specific sections of this document (points 4 and 5).

4. Interaction with external social networks and platforms: Share button and social widgets

4.1. Subject to the prior consent of the user, these services enable interactions to be activated with the social networks or with other external platforms (such as, by way of non-limiting example, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest), directly from the Website. The interactions and subsequent processing of personal data carried out by and on external platforms, are governed by and subject exclusively to the privacy policy established by the relative data controllers, or by the companies that manage the relative social networks.

Please not that the processing by such controllers can also take place outside the European Economic Area, still under the direct control of the managers of the platforms involved, without any transfer of data by the Controller.

5. User statistics with Google Analytics

The statistical services allow the Data Controller to monitor and analyse traffic data and to track User behaviour on the Website.

5.1. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google uses the personal data collected for the purpose of tracking and examining use of the Online channels by the User, to compile reports and share them with other services developed by Google. Google may also use the personal data to contextualise and personalise ads from its own advertising network. Personal data collected: Cookies and browsing and use data. 6. Withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data

6.1. Consent to the processing of personal data given by the User for the purposes of processing referred to in this Policy may be withdrawn by the Client at any time, by sending written notice in accordance with Art. 11.7.

6.2. The withdrawal of consent to only one or some of the purposes referred to in Art. 3.2 does not extend also to the consent given in relation to the other purposes indicated therein.

6.3. Following the eventual withdrawal of consent by the User, the data relating to the User will be deleted.

7. Personal data processing methods and data storage period

7.1. The User's personal data will be processed in accordance with the principles of correctness, integrity and transparency, through manual, computerised and electronic tools, with logic strictly related to the purposes of the processing and, in any case, in order to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data and communications, in full compliance with current regulations established to safeguard privacy.

7.2. The processing of the User's personal data for the purposes indicated in Art. 3 will be carried out to the extent and for the duration necessary for this purpose, in compliance with current regulations regarding the protection of personal data. In any case, the personal data shall not be stored for a period longer than that strictly necessary in order to reach the aims indicated above, or however within the limits permitted by legislation in force.

8. Controller, Supervisor and Persons in charge of processing 

8.1. The Controller of the processing of personal data is Conad Coop. Soc., having its registered office in Bologna Via Michelino, No. 59 Tax Code 00865960157, in the person of the legal representative pro tem. 

8.2. The name of the Person in charge of the processing of personal data, if appointed, is available at the registered office of Conad and can be requested by writing to the controller, in Via Michelino 59, Bologna.

8.3. The User’s personal data will be processed by employees of Conad for the purposes specified in the preceding article 3. These employees, designated as Persons in charge of processing, will receive adequate operating instructions by Conad and will operate under the direct authority of the controller, or the processing Supervisor, where appointed.

9. Other subjects or categories of subjects who may learn about the personal data of the User as Supervisors of the processing and/or Persons in charge of the processing of personal data

9.1. For the pursuance of the purposes indicated in Art. 3, after obtaining the consent of the User, the following subjects or categories of subjects may learn about the personal data of the User, possibly acting as Supervisors of the data processing and/or as Persons in charge of the processing, if necessary:

  1. public authorities and agencies of supervision and control;
  2. suppliers of technology services and customer support and customer service activities provided on behalf of Conad;
  3. subjects who perform on behalf of Conad, or Conad partner companies, managerial, technical and organisational duties (including Homina Srl, Tax Code 02865091207, acting as organising administrative office of the Contest; Mumble Srl, Tax Code 03525740365, as webmaster);
  4. subjects who perform services of acquisition, production and processing of the data required for the use of services for clients (Mumble Srl, Tax Code 03525740365, as webmaster);
  5. firms and companies in relationships of assistance and advice.

9.2. The complete and updated list of the identifying details of the supervisors of the processing of personal data and of the persons in charge of processing is available at the registered office of Conad.

10. Browsing technical data processed

10.1. The technical data essential to the functionality of the website “” and the software procedures in place for its operation, during their normal operation, process some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols (such as IP address, identification or access credentials). This data is used to check the correct functioning of the system, to document the activity performed and verify/obtain site usage information.

10.2. The website “” also uses session ID cookies for the sole purpose of managing the continuity of the session properly, that disappear when the browser is closed. These cookies avoid using other computerised techniques that potentially prejudice the confidentiality of navigation, and prevent the processing of other data identifying the User.

11. User rights

11.1. The User has the right at any time to access the personal data concerning him.

11.2. The User can obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of personal data concerning him, even if not yet recorded, and their communication in an intelligible form. The User has the right to obtain information on the origin of the personal data, the purposes and methods of processing, of the logic applied in the case of processing with the aid of electronic instruments, the identification details of the controller, of the supervisors, of the subjects or categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or who may learn about them, also as supervisors or persons in charge.

11.3. The User has the right to obtain updating, rectification or, when required, integration of the personal data.

11.4. The User also has the right to obtain the cancellation, anonymisation or blocking of personal data processed in violation of law, inclusive those for which the storage is not necessary in relationship to the purposes for which the personal data have been communicated or disseminated, unless this implementation proves impossible or involves an undertaking manifestly disproportionate to the protected right.

11.5. The User has the right to object, in whole or in part, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of personal data, albeit pertinent for collection purposes, and to the processing of personal data concerning him for the purpose of sending advertising materials or direct selling or for carrying out market research or commercial communication.

11.6. The User has the right to obtain the portability of data, i.e. to receive the personal data regarding him in a structured format, of common use and legible from an automatic device.

11.7. The rights described herein can be exercised by the Client through written notification to Conad, at the registered office in Bologna, Via Michelino 59.

12. Use of data, information, documents and images sent by the User to Conad

12.1. The User declares himself to be aware of and to consent to the use by Conad, in the manner it deems necessary, of the data, information, documents and images that the User sends through the website Because of this use, the User declares henceforth to have no claims against Conad, for any reason whatsoever.

12.2. Conad shall be free to indicate or not on the Online channels, under the procedures identified by the same, that the aforementioned data, information, documents and images were sent by the User. It is understood that, even if the Controller decides to append this indication, the User will not be entitled to claim anything because of the use by Conad of the shared data, information, documents and pictures.

12.3. The User can send to Conad only data, information, images and documents that do not violate the rights of third parties or, in any case, legal provisions.

12.4. The User agrees to fully release Conad from liability for any claim of refund or compensation from third parties and from any fine, penalty or other charge on Conad imposed by public, also judicial, authorities.
