CONAD JAZZ CONTEST 2026: The 10 finalists have been announced.

Young jazz talents will perform on the prestigious stage of Umbria Jazz (Perugia, July 3-12, 2026) to compete for the final prize of €5,000.

Bologna, June 16, 2026. Conad and the Umbria Jazz Foundation announce the ten finalists of the Conad Jazz Contest 2026 who will perform live on the stage of Umbria Jazz (Perugia, July 3-12, 2026) to compete for the title of winner.

Nine of the ten finalists were selected by the Technical Jury, while the tenth was selected by the Popular Jury.

The finalists selected by the Technical Jury are:

– Fernweh, Black Thursdays Unplugged, Federico Campanello Quartet, Simoni Teolis, Frame, Parallel 40, Nomads, Aftermemory and Sextet Quartet.

The finalist selected by the Popular Jury is:

– Mosaic Trio.

The Technical Jury chaired by Manuele Morbidini , saxophonist and composer as well as musical director of the Umbria Jazz Orchestra, selected the 9 finalists after a great deal of listening to the over 180 pieces submitted in this twelfth edition of the competition.

The votes cast by the Popular Jury were over 23,000, with a final head-to-head of votes that saw Mosaic Trio win the tenth finalist spot, as well as a €500 voucher to be used in a recording studio by the end of 2026.

The 10 finalists will also receive a “Pro” subscription to Hat Music, the initiative’s new partner. Hat Music is the platform digital That connects emerging musicians with other musicians and music industry professionals – teachers, producers, sound engineers, studios, and coaches – creating valuable collaborations and easier access to quality services .

The finalists’ performances will take place on one of Umbria Jazz’s most popular stages: the ” Conad Stage ,” in the centrally located Giardini Carducci. The performances will take place on the afternoons of July 6, 7, and 8, with free admission, and will be judged by an artistic jury chaired by Stefano Bragatto , Director of Radio Monte Carlo.

Stefano Bragatto himself, broadcast live on Radio Monte Carlo from his mobile studio in Piazza della Repubblica, along Corso Vannucci, will announce the overall winner of the 2026 edition of the Contest on July 8th at the end of the performances.

The winner of the Conad Jazz Contest 2026 will receive the final prize of €5,000 as a career contribution, a dedicated tour organized by Umbria Jazz between summer 2026 and summer 2027 on the most prestigious jazz stages around Italy, as well as distribution of the EP, handled by Universal Music.

The Conad Jazz Contest is an initiative by Conad, a long-standing partner of Umbria Jazz, which has always strived to offer opportunities to deserving young people and promote the dissemination of culture as a shared heritage.
