The community has always been central to Conad’s activity. The company promotes a model of society in which people and their needs are important. It listens and gives concrete answers. It is a company for the community. One of the ways in which it goes about this is showcasing young talents. In the last eight years, Conad has joined forces with Umbria Jazz to promote a very special project: the Conad Jazz Contest.
Who is it aimed at?

Musicians of between 18 and 28 years of age who are Italian or live in Italy. The contest is open to solo artists and groups of up to eight people who play various styles of jazz or crossovers.

The Technical Judges will examine all of the entries and choose nine young talents to join the shortlist of ten finalists. The tenth finalist will be selected in an online public vote. Members of the general public will be able to vote for their favourite band on this website (starting from 16 May). The ten finalists will perform live at Umbria Jazz. They will be judged by a panel of Artistic Judges chaired by Paolo Fresu, who will choose the overall winner.
